305 ILCS 5/9A-11.10 new










    Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code.  Provides that the Department of Human Services shall conduct an impact study of the cost of providing State health insurance coverage to child care providers who provide State-subsidized child care services under the TANF program.  Requires a report by July 1, 2004.  Effective immediately.

    AN ACT concerning public aid.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended  by 
5
adding Section 9A-11.10 as follows:

    (305 ILCS 5/9A-11.10  new)

    Sec. 9A-11.10. State health insurance coverage for child 
8
care providers; study. The Department of Human Services shall 
9
conduct an impact study of the cost of providing State health 
10
insurance coverage to child care providers who provide 
11
State-subsidized child care services under Section 9A-11.  The 
12
Department shall submit its findings and recommendations to the 
13
Governor and the General Assembly no later than July 1, 2004.

    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
15
becoming law.
