Appropriates $2,305,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Office of the Secretary of State for the purpose and installation of 800MHz communication system equipment for the Secretary of State Police. Effective July 1, 2004.

AN ACT making appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $2,305,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Office of the Secretary of State for the purpose and installation of 800MHz communication system equipment for the Secretary of State Police. This includes all homeland security costs associated with the purchase and installation of the 800MHz radios to maintain communication services when the Illinois State Police activate the new 800MHz system.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2004.
