| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives congratulate Hinsdale Central High School on |
| 4 |
| winning the 2003 Girls Tennis State Championship; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, This is Hinsdale Central's 8th girls tennis title |
| 6 |
| and 65th State title; the Illinois High School Tennis Finals |
| 7 |
| were held at Mt. Prospect High School October 23-25, 2003; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, The girls tennis team also won the West Suburban |
| 9 |
| Silver Conference Championship and the Illinois High School |
| 10 |
| Sectional Championship; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, The Hinsdale Central competitors include singles |
| 12 |
| players Indu Anand (Senior) and Kirsten Hillock (Sophomore), |
| 13 |
| each of whom won 4 rounds during the State championships; |
| 14 |
| doubles players Taylor Martin (Junior), Christy Scardina |
| 15 |
| (Senior), who finished in third place, and Melinda Innocenti |
| 16 |
| (Senior) and Jennifer Schwarzkopf (Junior), who finished in |
| 17 |
| fourth place; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Hinsdale Central High's girls tennis team is led |
| 19 |
| by coach Jerilyn Scardina, who has been head coach for 27 |
| 20 |
| years, and her assistant for the past four years, Robin Page; |
| 21 |
| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 24 |
| congratulate Hinsdale Central High School Girls Tennis team on |
| 25 |
| winning the 2003 Girls Tennis State Championship; and be it |

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
