| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to recognize the accomplishments |
| 4 |
| of citizens of the State; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Gerald W. Fogelson was inducted into the Chicago |
| 6 |
| Association of Realtors Hall of Fame in 2003; he is a pioneer |
| 7 |
| of the Planned Unit Development model, with his work in the |
| 8 |
| area paving the way for other mixed use real estate |
| 9 |
| developments throughout the State; and |
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Fogelson's career includes a wide range of |
| 11 |
| development activity; he has developed residential, office, |
| 12 |
| and retail space, marinas, and industrial parks throughout |
| 13 |
| Chicagoland and beyond; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Fogelson's book, entitled "Central Station: |
| 15 |
| Realizing a Vision", chronicles his work on the development of |
| 16 |
| Central Station; Central Station, when completed, will be the |
| 17 |
| largest planned unit development in Chicago's history, |
| 18 |
| providing thousands of homes and jobs to Illinois residents; |
| 19 |
| and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Fogelson co-founded the new Chicago School of |
| 21 |
| Real Estate at Roosevelt University; he is a strong supporter |
| 22 |
| of philanthropy, serving on the board of directors for Mount |
| 23 |
| Sinai Hospital and acting as a trustee of Roosevelt University; |
| 24 |
| and
|
| 25 |
| WHEREAS, This recognition falls in concurrence with Mr. |
| 26 |
| Fogelson's 70th year; therefore, be it
|
| 27 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 28 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
