| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The State of Illinois is facing a budget crisis; |
| 3 |
| and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, New ways to generate revenue for the State and |
| 5 |
| ways to reduce State spending should be
explored as a means to |
| 6 |
| deal with this crisis; therefore, be it
|
| 7 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 8 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 9 |
| each State agency is instructed to crack down on unnecessary |
| 10 |
| travel and excess travel expenses by developing and |
| 11 |
| administering a stricter policy; and be it further
|
| 12 |
| RESOLVED, That the Governor is urged to work with State |
| 13 |
| agencies to create a comprehensive travel voucher law; and be |
| 14 |
| it further
|
| 15 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be sent |
| 16 |
| to each State agency and to the Governor.
