| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, It is crucial that adults join together to empower |
| 3 |
| young people with the confidence, strength of purpose, and |
| 4 |
| vision needed to succeed in the workplace, and to negotiate the |
| 5 |
| pitfalls that often stand in the way of success; Take Our |
| 6 |
| Children to Work Day encourages cooperation not only from |
| 7 |
| children and their parents, but also employers and schools, and |
| 8 |
| it provides businesses and government with the opportunity to |
| 9 |
| collaborate with schools to develop a strong work force for the |
| 10 |
| State; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Such a day reinforces the importance of staying in |
| 12 |
| school and introduces children to career possibilities; the |
| 13 |
| exceptional hands-on experience that children receive from |
| 14 |
| such an event will allow youth to envision a future with |
| 15 |
| limitless possibilities; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Children are the future of the State of Illinois, |
| 17 |
| the United States of America, and the world; therefore, be it
|
| 18 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that as |
| 20 |
| a valuable tool for the strengthening of society, we encourage |
| 21 |
| parents to celebrate Take Our Children to Work Day by taking |
| 22 |
| their children to work on a day that school is not in session.
