| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives wish to recognize Nelson Westerberg, Inc. |
| 4 |
| which will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary in September |
| 5 |
| 2004; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Nelson Westerberg, Inc. is a relocation company |
| 7 |
| located in Elk Grove Village on Arthur Avenue; Fred Nelson and |
| 8 |
| Oscar Westerberg started a delivering service in 1904 |
| 9 |
| delivering ice and coal to families and businesses in Chicago |
| 10 |
| using horses and wagons; soon the moving needs of families |
| 11 |
| extended to moving their household goods; in 1960, Nelson |
| 12 |
| Westerberg signed on as Atlas Van Lines interstate Agency; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, The Company was established in 1904 and is owned |
| 14 |
| and operated by the fourth generation of the Westerberg family; |
| 15 |
| John Westerberg the grandson of the company's founder is the |
| 16 |
| current CEO; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, In 1962, the corporation began to establish |
| 18 |
| national account relationships; Nelson Westerberg opened |
| 19 |
| offices in New Jersey/New York in 1972 and in Dallas, Texas in |
| 20 |
| 1984; they expanded to Atlanta, Georgia in 1987; and in 1995, |
| 21 |
| the corporation celebrated the national partners that have been |
| 22 |
| customers for 25 years, which established the Quarter Century |
| 23 |
| Partner Program; and
|
| 24 |
| WHEREAS, Nelson Westerberg is one of the largest, more |
| 25 |
| experienced quality providers of relocation, transportation, |
| 26 |
| and logistics management in the United States; and
|
| 27 |
| WHEREAS, Since its establishment in 1904, Nelson |
| 28 |
| Westerberg has expanded its scope to become a top professional |
| 29 |
| leader in the corporate and relocation business, numbering many |
| 30 |
| Fortune 500 Companies as clients; therefore, be it
