| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
3 |
| State of Illinois wish to congratulate Bernard Heiligenstein, |
4 |
| J.D.; Aloys H. Litteken; Sister Dorothy Niemann, SCSC; P. |
5 |
| Michael Schuette; and Suzanne Schmitz, J.D.; all of whom will |
6 |
| be inducted into the Mater Dei
Catholic High School Hall of |
7 |
| Honor on Saturday, May 1, 2004; and; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, Mater Dei is a diocesan Catholic High School
built |
9 |
| on traditions of honor, glory, and love; the school was
first |
10 |
| opened in September of 1950; inductees into the Hall of Honor |
11 |
| have distinguished themselves by their contributions to the |
12 |
| community in the areas of academics, business, professional or |
13 |
| religious life, and public service; these inductees join 30 |
14 |
| other members of the Mater Dei Hall of Honor in the eighth year |
15 |
| the awards have been given; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, Bernard Heiligenstein is a respected attorney, |
17 |
| husband, and father; he serves on the Mater Dei School and |
18 |
| Foundation boards; he is a former States Attorney for Clinton |
19 |
| County; he is a tireless Mater Dei supporter and volunteer; and
|
20 |
| WHEREAS, Aloys H. Litteken graduated from Mater Dei in |
21 |
| 1959; he attended the University of Illinois and received a |
22 |
| degree in electrical engineering; he is a member of the |
23 |
| Anheuser Busch Executive Team and a community leader and |
24 |
| volunteer; and
|
25 |
| WHEREAS, Sister Dorothy Marie Niemann, SCSC, is a 1961 |
26 |
| graduate of Mater Dei; she is a distinguished educator in the |
27 |
| nursing field and serves as a nurse and pastoral care minister; |
28 |
| she is a church and community leader; and
|
29 |
| WHEREAS, P. Michael Schuette graduated from Mater Dei in |
30 |
| 1967; he is a successful businessman and entrepreneur; he has |
