| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Jim |
| 4 |
| Paskiewicz of Bolingbrook; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Paskiewicz, lovingly referred to by all who |
| 6 |
| knew him as "Mr. P.", was a 31 year resident of Bolingbrook |
| 7 |
| with his wife, Linda, and his four children, Joshua, Adam, |
| 8 |
| Jonathon, and Susan; he coached T-ball and soccer in the |
| 9 |
| community, park district, and high school programs for 30 |
| 10 |
| years, and he touched the lives of thousands of participants in |
| 11 |
| those programs; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Paskiewicz was a FIFA and Illinois High School |
| 13 |
| Association (IHSA) certified soccer referee for 12 years; he |
| 14 |
| earned his Certified Illinois Assessing Officer designation in |
| 15 |
| 2003 and was a Deputy Assessor in DuPage Township from 2003 to |
| 16 |
| 2004; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Paskiewicz was on staff at Bolingbrook High |
| 18 |
| School from 1987 to 2004; he coached the Bolingbrook Raider |
| 19 |
| high school boys' and girls' soccer programs for 16 years; he |
| 20 |
| taught "pride in the program", instilling in his players value |
| 21 |
| and honor by dressing up on game days; he taught the concept of |
| 22 |
| "respect" to his players, on and off the field; he worked as a |
| 23 |
| special education teacher and became assistant athletic |
| 24 |
| director at the high school as well; and
|
| 25 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. P was famous for giving anything that breathed |
| 26 |
| a nickname and was legendary for his favorite "Put the ball in |
| 27 |
| the flippin net!" saying; and
|
| 28 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Paskiewicz was known for his positive |
| 29 |
| attitude, his huge heart, his love for soccer, his love for |
| 30 |
| cooking, and his love for young people; he was devoted to his |
