| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, Riverboats licensed under the Riverboat Gambling |
| 3 |
| Act generate
millions of dollars in revenue each year for the |
| 4 |
| communities in which they
dock; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, The city of Elgin has received a vast windfall |
| 6 |
| from the riverboats
that dock within its borders; therefore, be |
| 7 |
| it
|
| 8 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 9 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 10 |
| the Illinois House of Representatives urges that, if a license |
| 11 |
| authorizing riverboat gambling operations in Cook County is |
| 12 |
| issued, any municipality in which riverboats dock pursuant to |
| 13 |
| such a license enter into agreements with all other |
| 14 |
| municipalities in Cook County, other than Elgin, to share the |
| 15 |
| revenues generated by riverboat gambling conducted pursuant to |
| 16 |
| such a license; and be it further
|
| 17 |
| RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be |
| 18 |
| delivered to the top
ranking municipal official in each |
| 19 |
| municipality in Cook County.
