| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Mrs. Ann Inmon |
| 4 |
| Williams of Chicago on the occasion of her retirement after 22 |
| 5 |
| years of service at Olive-Harvey College; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Ann Inmon Williams is currently the Assistant |
| 7 |
| Dean in the Adult Education Program at Olive-Harvey College; |
| 8 |
| she will be retiring after 22 years of service on June 30, |
| 9 |
| 2004; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Williams has been a significant force behind |
| 11 |
| many of the accomplishments and successes of the Adult |
| 12 |
| Education Program at Olive-Harvey College; she has excellent |
| 13 |
| leadership abilities and helped to establish the first union |
| 14 |
| that represents adult educators within the Adult Education |
| 15 |
| Program; she was also the coordinator for the Pre-Credit |
| 16 |
| Programs, where she supervised the instructional process; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Williams has helped sponsor faculty and staff |
| 18 |
| development activities which include improving the criteria |
| 19 |
| for the Adult Basic Education and GED Level students and |
| 20 |
| coordinating a "Community Blitz" which tremendously increased |
| 21 |
| enrollment; and
|
| 22 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Williams has continually sought out |
| 23 |
| professional development activities, both for the Adult |
| 24 |
| Education Program and for the entire college by encouraging |
| 25 |
| participation and attendance at conferences; and
|
| 26 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Williams is fondly called "Saint Ann" by many |
| 27 |
| of her colleagues because of her commitment to doing the right |
| 28 |
| thing and her caring and compassionate attitude toward everyone |
| 29 |
| she meets; therefore, be it
