| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate the Celtic Force |
| 4 |
| 15 Green volleyball team of Palos Heights on taking first place |
| 5 |
| in the Girls 15 Open division at the USA Volleyball Junior |
| 6 |
| National Championship tournament; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Celtic Force 15 Green won two out of three games |
| 8 |
| against Asics Kiva 15 Red of Kentucky to take the championship |
| 9 |
| at the Reliant Center in Houston; in the final game, Celtic |
| 10 |
| Force was down by four points but came back to win; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, This is the first time Celtic Force 15 Green has |
| 12 |
| won the national title; two years ago, the team placed fourth |
| 13 |
| in the tournament; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Three of the team's members were recognized for |
| 15 |
| individual accomplishments; Meghan Eskew of Indiana was named |
| 16 |
| the Most Valuable Player, and Abby Nelson and Dana VanSycle |
| 17 |
| were among the top 12 players; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Celtic Force draws student athletes from across |
| 19 |
| the Chicago area and has been in existence since 1997; the |
| 20 |
| team, nicknamed the Bone Crushers, made it to the national |
| 21 |
| competition by taking second place in the 2004 U.S. Junior |
| 22 |
| Volleyball National Qualifier, Northern Lights event held in |
| 23 |
| April in Minneapolis, Minnesota; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 25 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 26 |
| congratulate the Celtic Force 15 Green volleyball team on |
| 27 |
| taking first place in the Girls 15 Open division at the USA |

| Volleyball Junior National Championship tournament; and be it |
