| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, School district 200 was formed over 150 years ago; |
| 3 |
| and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, School District 200 is a community unit district |
| 5 |
| serving approximately 14,300 students in grades Pre-K through |
| 6 |
| 12 who live in the communities of Wheaton and Warrenville, and |
| 7 |
| portions of Winfield, Carol Stream, and West Chicago; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, School District 200 has adopted a business model |
| 9 |
| of month to month budgeting that has been recognized by |
| 10 |
| community and national organizations; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, The Association of School Business Officials |
| 12 |
| International's Certificate of Excellence program reviews the |
| 13 |
| accounting practices and reporting procedures used by school |
| 14 |
| districts in their Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports; |
| 15 |
| districts which earn the Certificate of Excellence receive an |
| 16 |
| award as well as enhanced credibility for the financial |
| 17 |
| management of their school system; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, School District 200 has been recognized each year |
| 19 |
| since 1999 for the award and continues to be a leader in school |
| 20 |
| budget management; and
|
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, School District 200 should serve as a model to all |
| 22 |
| other schools in Illinois; and
|
| 23 |
| WHEREAS, School District 200 has offered itself as a |
| 24 |
| resource to other school districts wishing to learn the |
| 25 |
| principles of month to month budgeting; therefore, be it
|
| 26 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 27 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |

| School District 200 shall be commended for its budgetary |
