| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
|
| 3 |
| cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage
|
| 4 |
| that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
the |
| 5 |
| people of the State of Illinois; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that a celebration of |
| 7 |
| the fiftieth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Green of |
| 8 |
| Centreville will be held on July 10, 2004; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Amos Green was President of 688 Teamsters Union in |
| 10 |
| St. Louis, Missouri prior to his retirement; he is also a |
| 11 |
| Master Craftsman; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Amer Ruth Green was a stay-at-home mother until |
| 13 |
| all of the children were in school; she retired from Barnes |
| 14 |
| Hospital Eye Surgery Floor after more than 20 years of service; |
| 15 |
| and |
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Amos and Amer Ruth Green are the proud parents of |
| 17 |
| four children, Carmenlita Green Harris, Amos Green Jr., Lisa |
| 18 |
| Evelyn Green Hills, and Aaron Green, and they have 10 |
| 19 |
| grandchildren; therefore, be it |
| 20 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 21 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 22 |
| congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Amos Green on the occasion of
their |
| 23 |
| fiftieth wedding anniversary; we commend them for
achieving a |
| 24 |
| long and happy marriage and we wish
them happiness and good |
| 25 |
| health in the future; and be it further
|
| 26 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 27 |
| presented to Mr. and Mrs. Amos Green as a expression of our |
| 28 |
| admiration.
