| personifies this notion of the unretirement retirement better |

| than newspaper columnist Jack Mabley, who has marked the end of |

| another segment of his life with the decision to trade in his |

| Arlington Heights Daily Herald column for an Internet based |

| WHEREAS, Jack Mabley's storied career ranges over 12,000 |

| columns for nearly every newspaper in the Chicago region and |

| personalities and is known to have taken time off to go snake |

| hunting with legendary zoologist Marlin Perkins and for |

| welcoming the Beatles to Chicago; and |

| WHEREAS, He is regarded as the nation's first television |

| critic; and |

| WHEREAS, His tireless reporting on the plight of the |

| mentally disabled earned long overdue attention from |
