| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to recognize milestone events in |
| 4 |
| the State of Illinois; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that on Thursday, |
| 6 |
| August 5, 2004 the Mt. Auburn Fire Department will be honored |
| 7 |
| for its 50th anniversary; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Mt. Auburn Fire Department |
| 9 |
| showed great bravery in offering assistance following the |
| 10 |
| explosion at the Formosa plant in Illiopolis; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Mt. Auburn Fire Department go |
| 12 |
| above and beyond the call of duty, risking their lives to |
| 13 |
| assist the citizens of Illinois; therefore, be it
|
| 14 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 15 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 16 |
| honor the Mt. Auburn Fire Department on the occasion of its |
| 17 |
| 50th anniversary, and we thank the members of the department, |
| 18 |
| past and present, for their many years of dedicated service to |
| 19 |
| the safety of the citizens of this State; and be it further
|
| 20 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 21 |
| presented to the Mt. Auburn Fire Department as an expression of |
| 22 |
| our deep gratitude for their devotion to the protection of |
| 23 |
| others.
