| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, September 25, 2004 is recognized as Responsible |
| 3 |
| Dog Ownership Day in Bond County, and "Paws in the Park" is the |
| 4 |
| event to be held in recognition of this day; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, The purpose of this event is to raise funds to |
| 6 |
| ultimately construct or buy a building as a shelter to provide |
| 7 |
| temporary housing for stray, abandoned, and unwanted animals |
| 8 |
| until suitable loving permanent homes can be found; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, In honor of this day and its purpose, there will |
| 10 |
| be various dog activities including an agility course and dog |
| 11 |
| contests; a low cost microchipping clinic will also be |
| 12 |
| available and staffed by a veterinarian donating his/her |
| 13 |
| services; the event will take place at Patriot's Park in |
| 14 |
| Greenville; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 16 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 17 |
| recognize the date of September 25, 2004 as Responsible Dog |
| 18 |
| Ownership Day in Bond County and support the efforts of the |
| 19 |
| Bond County Humane Society.
