| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives wish to recognize Rock on Aurora, a community |
| 4 |
| impact event in the city of Aurora; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, The first Saturday in October for the past two |
| 6 |
| years, Progressive Baptist Church and other local |
| 7 |
| congregations have gathered volunteers to meet the needs of the |
| 8 |
| community in the greater Aurora area; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Teams are formed to serve in a variety of ways |
| 10 |
| including cleaning city streets, beautifying public schools, |
| 11 |
| visiting nursing home residents, minor home repairs for senior |
| 12 |
| citizens, holding basketball and soccer clinics for area youth, |
| 13 |
| and delivering food baskets to families in need; therefore, be |
| 14 |
| it

| 15 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 16 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 17 |
| recognize Rock on Aurora and the Progressive Baptist Church for |
| 18 |
| their combined efforts toward the betterment of the Aurora |
| 19 |
| community; and be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 21 |
| presented to Rev. Roy R. Brown, Senior Pastor of Progressive |
| 22 |
| Baptist Church, as a token of our respect.
