| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives recognize the courageous actions of Bobbie |
| 4 |
| Bieniek; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Bobbie Bieniek is a Glendale Heights resident and |
| 6 |
| mother of three children; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Bobbie is the store manager of the Walgreens |
| 8 |
| located on Lake Street and Addison Road in Addison, Illinois; |
| 9 |
| and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, On October 20, 2004, Bobbie's quick thinking |
| 11 |
| prevented serious injury when the Walgreens exploded; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, She evacuated the store and called 911 when she |
| 13 |
| detected a strong order of gas; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Twenty customers and employees were evacuated |
| 15 |
| just before the blast; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Her concern for customer and employee safety |
| 17 |
| protected the lives of everyone in Walgreens that day; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Three firemen were injured as a result of the |
| 19 |
| explosion; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, Authorities had to evacuate the surrounding area |
| 21 |
| to protect local residents; and
|
| 22 |
| WHEREAS, Bobbie's heroic actions helped to protect the |
| 23 |
| patrons and citizens of Addison; therefore, be it
|
| 24 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
