| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that the members of the |
| 3 |
| House of Representatives of the State of Illinois have learned |
| 4 |
| of the death of Army Specialist Jamie Moreno of Round Lake |
| 5 |
| Beach on October 13, 2004 at the age of 27; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Jamie was killed in eastern Bagdad when an |
| 7 |
| improvised explosive device detonated near his patrol vehicle |
| 8 |
| on October 12, 2004; he was assigned to 20th Engineer |
| 9 |
| Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, He is survived by his wife, Liliana Delgado, and a |
| 11 |
| daughter; therefore, be it
|
| 12 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 13 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 14 |
| honor Army Specialist Jamie Moreno for his commitment, |
| 15 |
| dedication, and sacrifice in the service of his family, |
| 16 |
| community, and country; and be it further
|
| 17 |
| RESOLVED, That we pray for the safety and well-being of |
| 18 |
| Army Specialist Jamie Moreno's fellow service members as they |
| 19 |
| continue to stand in harm's way in service in Iraq and around |
| 20 |
| the world; and be it further
|
| 21 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 22 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
| 23 |
| sympathy.
