 1        AN ACT in relation to education.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The University of Illinois Act is amended by
 5    changing Section 4 as follows:

 6        (110 ILCS 305/4) (from Ch. 144, par. 25)
 7        Sec. 4.  President.  The board of trustees shall elect  a
 8    regent  who  shall be charged with the general supervision of
 9    the educational facilities and interests of  the  university.
10    Said regent shall be known as President of the University and
11    his  term  of office shall be at the pleasure of the board of
12    trustees.
