 1        AN ACT concerning taxation.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The Telecommunications  Excise  Tax  Act  is
 5    amended by changing Section 1 as follows:

 6        (35 ILCS 630/1) (from Ch. 120, par. 2001)
 7        Sec.  1.  Short title; use of tax.  This Article shall be
 8    known and may be cited as the "Telecommunications Excise  Tax
 9    Act".   The  net  proceeds from the taxes imposed by this Act
10    shall be used for the support of the General Revenue Fund and
11    education.
