| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| represented in the General Assembly:

| Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 8-901 as follows:
|
| 6 |

| Sec. 8-901. Source of information. No court may compel any |
| 8 |
| person to
disclose the source of any information obtained by a |

| reporter except as
