55 ILCS 5/5-1056.5 new









    Amends the Counties Code. Provides that the governing board of a fire
protection district may submit a written request to the county board of a
county that is
served
by the district for a meeting to discuss donations from a
developer of a subdivision or resubdivision located within
an unincorporated area of the county that is served by the district.

    AN ACT concerning fire protection.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by adding Section 
5
5-1056.5 as
follows:

    (55 ILCS 5/5-1056.5 new)

    Sec. 5-1056.5. Fire protection district; developer 
8
donations. The board of
trustees of any fire
protection 
9
district may submit to the county board of a county that is 
10
served
by
the district a written request that a meeting be held 
11
to discuss donations from
a
developer of a subdivision or 
12
resubdivision located within an unincorporated
area of the 
13
county that is served by the district. For the purposes of this

14
Section,
"donation" means a donation of land, a
cash 
15
contribution, or a combination of both, for public fire 
16
protection
purposes.
