| AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2367

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2367 by replacing |

| everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| "Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by |
| 5 |
| adding Section 5-5.5b as follows:
|

| (305 ILCS 5/5-5.5b new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 5-5.5b. Elder abuse and neglect services; long-term |
| 8 |
| care ombudsman services. The Department of Public Aid may enter |
| 9 |
| into a cooperative arrangement with the Department on Aging |
| 10 |
| under which the Department on Aging will provide elder abuse |
| 11 |
| and neglect services and long-term care ombudsman services to |
| 12 |
| medical assistance recipients. The Department of Public Aid |
| 13 |
| shall request a waiver of federal law and regulations as |
| 14 |
| necessary to implement this Section.

| 15 |
| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 16 |
| becoming law.".
