| AN ACT concerning children and families.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Children and Family Services Act is amended |
| 5 |
| by adding Section 21.5 as follows:
|

| (20 ILCS 505/21.5 new)
|
| 7 |
| Sec. 21.5. Training; advice to subjects of investigation. |
| 8 |
| The Department shall train all child protective investigators |
| 9 |
| concerning the statutory and constitutional rights of |
| 10 |
| individuals subject to investigation for child abuse and |
| 11 |
| neglect and shall require all child protective investigators to |
| 12 |
| inform individuals subject to a child abuse and neglect |
| 13 |
| investigation concerning the specific complaints or |
| 14 |
| allegations made against the individual.
