| AN ACT concerning military affairs.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Military Code of Illinois is amended by |
| 5 |
| adding Section 27.5 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (20 ILCS 1805/27.5 new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 27.5. Publication of rights and responsibilities. The |
| 8 |
| Department must create a publication setting forth the rights |
| 9 |
| and responsibilities of service members under State and federal |
| 10 |
| law. The Department must make this publication available |
| 11 |
| through printed or electronic means to service members, their |
| 12 |
| families, and organizations that assist service members, |
| 13 |
| veterans, or their families.

| 14 |
| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 15 |
| becoming law.
