| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The County Jail Act is amended by changing
|
| 5 |
| Section 2 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (730 ILCS 125/2) (from Ch. 75, par. 102)

| Sec. 2. Sheriff as warden.
The Sheriff of each county in |
| 8 |
| this State shall be the warden
of the jail of the county, and |
| 9 |
| have the custody of all prisoners in the
jail, except when |
| 10 |
| otherwise provided in the "County Department of Corrections
|
| 11 |
| Act".
