AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2724

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2724, on page 2, 
3
immediately below line 1, by inserting the following:
4
    "Area median household income" means the median household 
5
incomes adjusted for family size for applicable income limit 
6
areas as determined annually by the federal Department of 
7
Housing and Urban Development under Section 8 of the United 
8
States Housing Act of 1937."; and
 
9
on page 2, by replacing lines 21 through 23 with the following:

"area median
gross household income for households of the same 
11
size within the county in
which the housing is located."; and
 
12
on page 2, by replacing lines 29 through 32 with the following:
13
"50% but does not exceed 80%
of the area median gross household 
14
income for households of the same size within the
 county in 
15
which the housing is located."; and
 
16
on page 4, line 4, after the period, by inserting "Upon 
17
publishing a list of exempt and non-exempt local governments, 
18
the Illinois Housing Development Authority shall notify a local 
19
government that it is not exempt from the operation of this Act  
20
and provide to it the data used to calculate its 
21
determination."; and

on page 4, line 13, by replacing "January 1, 2005" with "April
