| AN ACT concerning transportation.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The I-FLY Act is amended by changing Section 5 |
5 |
| as follows:
|

| Sec. 5. Findings. The General Assembly finds that, in
order |
8 |
| to create, retain, and stabilize reliable air service
to |
9 |
| commercial service airports outside of Cook County,
improve |
10 |
| accessibility to business and industrial centers,
augment |
11 |
| Illinois'
the State's tourism industry, and encourage the
|
12 |
| development of facilities and support initiatives for
|
13 |
| community growth, cooperation between the State, airports, and |
14 |
| communities is
essential. The General Assembly
further finds |
15 |
| that a State grant program is the best method
to achieve these |
16 |
| ends.
