with reference to the page and line numbers of House Amendment

No. 1, on page 1, in line 17, before the period, by inserting

", preferably from a legislative or representative district in

which a State-operated veterans home is located"; and

on page 1, by deleting lines 18 through 22; and

on page 2, in line 1, by changing "members" to "veterans"; and

on page 2, in line 3, by changing "member" to "veteran"; and

on page 2, in line 18, by changing "Director of Veterans'

Affairs" to "appointing authority".
