| AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2944

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2944 on page 1, by |
| 3 |
| replacing lines 8 through 15 with the following: |
| 4 |
| "(a) As used in this Section, "potluck event" means an |
| 5 |
| event that meets all of the following conditions: |
| 6 |
| (1) People are gathered to share food at the event. |
| 7 |
| (2) There is no compensation provided to people for |
| 8 |
| bringing food to the event. |
| 9 |
| (3) There is no charge for any food or beverage |
| 10 |
| provided at the event. |
| 11 |
| (4) The event is not conducted for commercial purposes.

| 12 |
| (5) It is generally understood by the participants at |
| 13 |
| the event that neither the food nor the facilities have |
| 14 |
| been inspected by the State or a local certified public |
| 15 |
| health department.
|
| 16 |
| (6) The event is not held on public property.".
