AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2981

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2981 as follows:

on page 9, immediately below line 4, by inserting the 
4
following:

    "(3) Any lender whose loan is secured by a mortgage on an 
6
owner-occupied single family residence must provide the 
7
mortgagor with a notice, in a form prescribed by the Authority, 
8
within 120 days after the effective date of this amendatory Act 
9
of the 93rd General Assembly and annually thereafter.  The 
10
notice must inform the mortgagor of the existence of the Fund 
11
and provide directions for enrollment in the Homeowner's 
12
Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program. This notice of the 
13
option to enroll in the Program must include a disclaimer 
14
clearly stating that being enrolled in the Program does not 
15
guarantee that the mortgagor will receive  assistance payments 
16
under the Program."; and

on page 9, line 5, by changing "(3)" to "(4)"; and
 
18
on page 9, line 14, by changing "(4)" to "(5)".
