| AN ACT concerning funding for addiction programs.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Alcoholism and Other Drug Abuse and |
5 |
| Dependency Act is amended by changing Section 50-5 as follows:
|

| (20 ILCS 301/50-5)
|

| Sec. 50-5. Prevention and Treatment of Alcoholism and |
8 |
| Substance Abuse
Block Grant Fund. Moneys
Monies received from |
9 |
| the federal government under the Block
Grant for the Prevention |
10 |
| and Treatment of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse shall
be |
11 |
| deposited into the Prevention and Treatment of Alcoholism and |
12 |
| Substance
Abuse Block Grant Fund , which is hereby created as a |
13 |
| special fund in the State
treasury. Moneys
Monies in this fund |
14 |
| shall be appropriated to the Department and
expended for the |
15 |
| purposes and activities specified by federal law or
regulation.
