093_SR0231 LRB093 13090 HSS 18339 r 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of 3 Illinois were deeply saddened to learn of the death of LeAnna 4 Kay Fischer of Zion on Saturday, August 16, 2003; and 5 WHEREAS, Mrs. Fischer was born on May 24, 1943 in Zion to 6 Everett and Evangeline Congdon; she married Lee Fischer on 7 October 13, 1963 in Zion; and 8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Fischer, along with her husband, owned and 9 operated Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion; she served as 10 treasurer of the Oakdale Cemetery Association; and 11 WHEREAS, Mrs. Fischer enjoyed volunteer work and was an 12 active member of many organizations including Zonta, Eastern 13 Star, and the Zion-Benton Athletic Booster Club; she was also 14 a professional member of the Illinois Cemetery and Funeral 15 Home Association, International Cemetery and Funeral Home 16 Association, and Metropolitan Chicago Cemetery Officials; she 17 also enjoyed gathering with her close friends once a month 18 for Girls Club; and 19 WHEREAS, The passing of LeAnna Kay Fischer has been 20 deeply felt by many, especially her husband, Lee; her 21 daughters, LeNah Klinger, LeNora (Rick) Lambert, and LeNette 22 Livingston; her son, Lewis Fischer; her brothers, Loren 23 (Margaret) Congdon and Gary; her sisters-in-law, Pam Congdon 24 and Mary Lou Congdon; her mother-in-law, Lucille Fischer; her 25 many aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews; 26 her dear friend, Judy Blagg; and her grandchildren, Ashley 27 and Breanna Klinger, Alyssa, Lindsey, and Jake Lambert, and 28 Kendal Livingston; therefore, be it 29 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL 30 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing 31 of LeAnna Kay Fischer, and we extend our sincere condolences -2- LRB093 13090 HSS 18339 r 1 to her friends, family, and all who knew and loved her; and 2 be it further 3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 4 presented to the family of LeAnna Kay Fischer as an 5 expression of our deepest sympathy.
