093_SR0254 LRB093 13403 RAH 18711 r 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of 3 Illinois learned with regret of the death of Rebecca Taylor 4 on July 15, 2003; and 5 WHEREAS, Rebecca Taylor was born on March 8, 1924 in 6 Chicago to Ernest and Maggie Marsh; she was the devoted wife 7 of Lawrence Taylor; she was preceded in death by her husband 8 and parents; and 9 WHEREAS, Mrs. Taylor accepted Christ at an early age and 10 was confirmed in the parish of St. Elizabeth in Chicago, 11 beginning a spiritual journey and religious affiliation that 12 continued her entire life; and 13 WHEREAS, The passing of Rebecca Taylor has been deeply 14 felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her children, 15 Cecelia (Bob) Murphy, Sheila (Chuck) Miller, Marcheta Woods, 16 Iris (Y.Z.) Bonner, James Taylor, Russell Earl (Pearl) 17 Taylor, Claudette (Ernest) Barr, Woodrow-Rudy (Stephanie) 18 Taylor, Anthony Taylor, and Felicia (Milton) Grammar; her 19 grandchildren, Earl Christopher, Tanesha, Luchell, Samuel, 20 Robert, Shalaina, Shilah, Chris, Sanetta, Roderic, Juanita, 21 Marcheta, Christina, Maggie, Roshanda, Ericka, Tredrick, 22 Rebecca, Elaina, Evan, Nicole, Keva, Little Rudy, Quinn, 23 Rashad, Roshan, Rudy, Little Tony, Jena, Leah, Milton Jr., 24 and Marcus; her great-grandchildren, Courtney, Taylor, Chris, 25 Antheneshia, Aaron, Lauren, Jala, LaVon, Tremia, Tredrick 26 Jr., Cecelia, Emonie, Izell, Messiah, Mercy, and Larenzo; her 27 nieces and nephews, Patricia (Lewis), Irma, Sylvester Jr. 28 (Ros), Georgetta, and Katherine (Larry) Raymond, and John 29 Earl, Jr.; and her other relatives and friends; in addition 30 to her husband and parents, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death 31 by her her son-in-law, Jimmy Woods; and her nephews, Arthur 32 and Ernest; therefore, be it -2- LRB093 13403 RAH 18711 r 1 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL 2 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing 3 of Rebecca Taylor and extend our deepest sympathy to her 4 family, friends, and community; and be it further 5 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 6 presented to the family of Rebecca Taylor as an expression of 7 our sincerest condolences.
