| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Joseph "Albert" Love of |
| 4 |
| Waverly on Sunday, January 4, 2004; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Love was born on October 19, 1908, in rural |
| 6 |
| Palmyra, to Joseph and Susan Weller Love; he married Anna Mae |
| 7 |
| Lomelino in 1929 in Carlinville; she preceded him in death in |
| 8 |
| 1994; twin sons also preceded him in death; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Love graduated from Modesto High School in |
| 10 |
| 1928 and farmed in rural Modesto for 52 years, retiring in |
| 11 |
| 1987; he was a former director and vice president of North |
| 12 |
| Palmyra Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Co. of Modesto and a |
| 13 |
| precinct committeeman in Macoupin County for many years; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Love was a member of Waverly Lions Club and |
| 15 |
| Palmyra Lions Club; he was a member of Modesto Baptist Church |
| 16 |
| for 68 years, serving as a deacon for many years; he was on the |
| 17 |
| board of directors of the Bank of Modesto for 44 years, serving |
| 18 |
| as president from 1971-97; he was a life member of Knights of |
| 19 |
| Pythias Linton Lodge 401 and a 50-year member of Waverly |
| 20 |
| Masonic Lodge 118; and
|
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Joseph "Albert" Love has been |
| 22 |
| deeply felt by his daughter, Barbara (husband, Jack); his |
| 23 |
| granddaughter; and his two great-grandsons; therefore, be it
|
| 24 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
| 25 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 26 |
| Joseph "Albert" Love, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his |
| 27 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 28 |
| further
