| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Fred J. Killam of |
4 |
| Jacksonville on Monday, January 12, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Killam was born on December 22, 1927, in |
6 |
| Jacksonville to Harry L. and Grace L. Boddy Killam; he |
7 |
| graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1946 and the |
8 |
| University of Illinois, where he was a member of Alpha Gamma |
9 |
| Rho fraternity; he also attended Illinois College; and
|
10 |
| WHEREAS, He married Beverly Deal in 1963 in Omaha, |
11 |
| Nebraska; he was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a longtime grain |
12 |
| and livestock farmer west of Jacksonville; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Killam was active with the Morgan County |
14 |
| Democratic Party; he was a member of the Jacksonville Elks |
15 |
| Lodge, Harmony Lodge 3 AF&AM, the Illinois Beef Association, |
16 |
| and the Jacksonville Country Club; and
|
17 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Fred J. Killam has been deeply felt |
18 |
| by many, especially his wife, Beverly; his son, William G. |
19 |
| "Bill" (wife, Cheryl) Killam; his daughter, Karen K. "Candy" |
20 |
| (husband, Paul) Kaufmann; his four granddaughters; and his many |
21 |
| cousins; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
23 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
24 |
| Fred J. Killam, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his |
25 |
| friends, family, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
26 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
28 |
| presented to the family of Fred J. Killam as an expression of |
29 |
| our sincerest condolences during their time of bereavement.
