| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| were saddened to learn of the tragic death of Army Spc. William |
4 |
| D. Dusenbery of Fairview Heights on November 15, 2003, in Iraq; |
5 |
| and
|
6 |
| WHEREAS, Spc. Dusenbery spent a good part of his life in |
7 |
| the Fairview Heights area; he also lived in California, Oregon, |
8 |
| and Chicago before joining the Army in 2001 at age 29 with the |
9 |
| thought of making a career in the Army; he trained as a Black |
10 |
| Hawk engine and propulsion system mechanic at Fort Eustis, |
11 |
| Virginia; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, Spc. Dusenbery, who went by his middle name, Dave, |
13 |
| was a crewman with the 4th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, |
14 |
| 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) in Fort Campbell, |
15 |
| Kentucky; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Army Spc. William D. Dusenbery will |
17 |
| be deeply felt by many, especially his father, William D. |
18 |
| Dusenbery; his mother, Nancy Medcalf; his stepmother, Nancy |
19 |
| Kaprelian; his 7-year-old daughter, Aubrey Dusenbery; his |
20 |
| 11-year-old stepdaughter, Shalice Johnson; and his special |
21 |
| friend whom he planned to marry, Jessica Wheat; therefore, be |
22 |
| it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the tragic |
25 |
| death of Army Spc. William D. Dusenbery along with all who knew |
26 |
| and loved him and extend our sincere condolences to his family |
27 |
| and friends; and be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
29 |
| presented to the family of Army Spc. William D. Dusenbery as a |
30 |
| token of our deepest sympathy.
