| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Virginia Pauline Redd of |
| 4 |
| Godfrey on Saturday, March 27, 2004; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Virginia Stahl was born on August 28, 1921, in |
| 6 |
| Rosedale to Walter and Louise (Isringhausen) Stahl; she married |
| 7 |
| Frederick Redd Sr. in April of 1941 in Grafton; he preceded her |
| 8 |
| in death in 1973; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Prior to her retirement in 1987, Mrs. Redd was |
| 10 |
| employed for 25 years as a teacher at Beverly Farms Foundation; |
| 11 |
| she was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Redd will always be remembered as a loving |
| 13 |
| and devoted mother and grandmother; her passing has been deeply |
| 14 |
| felt by many, especially her children and their spouses, Jane |
| 15 |
| and William Phelps, Michael and Carol Redd, Mary and Michael |
| 16 |
| Bell, and Frederick and Kim Redd; her grandchildren, Mark |
| 17 |
| Phelps, Jennifer Phelps, Jacob Redd, Jessica Bendana and |
| 18 |
| husband, Fred, Kathleen Redd, Nicholas Redd, Emily Redd, and |
| 19 |
| Rozlyn Redd; and her many other family members and dear |
| 20 |
| friends; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
| 22 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 23 |
| Virginia P. Redd, and we extend our deepest sympathy to her |
| 24 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 25 |
| further
|
| 26 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 27 |
| presented to the family of Virginia P. Redd as an expression of |
| 28 |
| our sincere condolences.
