| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of C.F. Bertinetti of |
4 |
| Taylorville on Friday, May 7, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Bertinetti was born May 4, 1910, in Cedar |
6 |
| Point to Doro and Theresa Rolfo Bertinetti; he married Pearl |
7 |
| Sanders in 1938 in Elgin; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Bertinetti worked as a land developer of |
9 |
| Bertinetti Lake and Fairlane subdivisions; he held various |
10 |
| positions with the State and served as Democratic precinct |
11 |
| committeeman for 60 years, as the Christian County Democrat |
12 |
| Party vice-chairman for 18 years, and as the Christian County |
13 |
| Democrat Party chairman for 23 years, retiring in 1991; and
|
14 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Bertinetti was a member of St. Mary's Catholic |
15 |
| Church in Taylorville, the Knights of Columbus Council 2120, |
16 |
| and was a charter member of the Taylorville Builders |
17 |
| Association; and
|
18 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of C.F. Bertinetti has been deeply |
19 |
| felt by many, especially his wife, Pearl; his daughters, |
20 |
| Carolyn Bertinetti and Debi (husband, Bruce) Rahar; his four |
21 |
| grandchildren; and his two great-grandchildren; therefore, be |
22 |
| it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
25 |
| C.F. Bertinetti, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his |
26 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
27 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
