| SENATE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate were deeply |
| 3 |
| saddened to learn of the death of Rebecca L. Cutler of Chicago, |
| 4 |
| formerly of Highland Park, on June 7, 2004; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Rebecca Cutler was born and raised in Highland |
| 6 |
| Park; she graduated from North Shore Country Day School in |
| 7 |
| Wilmette and received a bachelor's degree in English from Lake |
| 8 |
| Forest College; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, She started writing for her school newspapers and |
| 10 |
| after graduation went to work for Chicago Magazine; she was on |
| 11 |
| staff there and for the last seven years had the title of |
| 12 |
| contributing editor; she also wrote free-lance articles for a |
| 13 |
| number of other magazines; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, She covered social events and handled assignments |
| 15 |
| such as compiling a list of the 20 most eligible singles in |
| 16 |
| Chicago every year; she was also involved in causes dealing |
| 17 |
| with depression, including the National Institute of Mental |
| 18 |
| Health Gift Fund in Bethesda, Maryland; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Rebecca L. Cutler will be deeply |
| 20 |
| felt by many, especially her parents; and her brother, Brett; |
| 21 |
| therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
| 23 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 24 |
| Rebecca L. Cutler along with all who knew and loved her and |
| 25 |
| extend our sincere condolences to her family and friends; and |
| 26 |
| be it further
|
| 27 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 28 |
| presented to the family of Rebecca L. Cutler as an expression |
| 29 |
| of our deepest sympathy.
