| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Charles W. Austin of |
| 4 |
| Princeton on Wednesday, June 16, 2004; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Austin was born on January 10, 1916 in |
| 6 |
| Bradford to Walter and Lillian (Duffield) Austin; he married |
| 7 |
| Blanche Moffitt; she preceded him in death on March 17, 1948; |
| 8 |
| he then married Sue Phillips in Princeton in 1955; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Austin valiantly served his country during |
| 10 |
| World War II in the African and European theaters as a member |
| 11 |
| of the U.S. Army; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Austin was employed by the Bureau County Grain |
| 13 |
| Co. and was a salesman of steel buildings; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Charles W. Austin has been deeply |
| 15 |
| felt by many, especially his wife, Sue; his sisters, Nell |
| 16 |
| Nyman, Alice Merdian, and Martha (Bob) Montgomery; his brother, |
| 17 |
| James (Ruth) Austin; his granddaughter, Chandra (Ben) |
| 18 |
| Freeland; and his nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
|
| 19 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
| 20 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 21 |
| Charles W. Austin, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his |
| 22 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 23 |
| further
|
| 24 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 25 |
| presented to the family of Charles W. Austin as an expression |
| 26 |
| of our sincere condolences.
