| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| were saddened to learn of the death of Harry J. LaHood of |
| 4 |
| Peoria on July 1, 2004; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. LaHood was born on September 13, 1914 in St. |
| 6 |
| Paul, Minnesota to George and Effie Corey LaHood; he married |
| 7 |
| Evelyn Wells on May 18, 1939 in Peoria; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, He was a downstate manager of Heublein, Inc. and |
| 9 |
| retired in 1982; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. LaHood was a member of the Peoria Camera Club |
| 11 |
| and the Itoo Society and a former member of the Peoria Skeet |
| 12 |
| and Trap Club; he was also a member of St. Mark's Catholic |
| 13 |
| Church in Peoria; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Harry LaHood will be deeply felt by |
| 15 |
| many, especially his 3 daughters, Beverly (and Dale) Bunch, |
| 16 |
| Cindy (and Bob) Kallister, and Brenda (and Alex) Heuermann; his |
| 17 |
| 2 sons, Jerry (and Angie) and Mike (and Judy); his 14 |
| 18 |
| grandchildren; his 15 great-grandchildren; his 3 surviving |
| 19 |
| brothers, Tony, Don (and Cora), and George Jr.; and his 5 |
| 20 |
| sisters, Esther Malaniak, Josephine Luka, Geraldine (and Fred) |
| 21 |
| Dunkl, Harriet Luoma, and Bernadine (and Howard) Drager; and |
| 22 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, and |
| 23 |
| 3 brothers; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
| 25 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of |
| 26 |
| Harry J. LaHood along with all who knew and loved him and |
| 27 |
| extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends; and |
| 28 |
