| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Frances A. Schmieder of |
| 4 |
| Quincy, formerly of East St. Louis-Washington Park, on Monday, |
| 5 |
| July 12, 2004; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on November 1, 1904 and attended |
| 7 |
| Sacred Heart School; she married Walter W. Schmieder on April |
| 8 |
| 27, 1932; he preceded her in death in 1962; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Schmieder retired from Swift and Co. in 1969; |
| 10 |
| she was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and the Ladies |
| 11 |
| Society; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Frances A. Schmieder has been |
| 13 |
| deeply felt by many, especially her son, Robert (Mary Kay) |
| 14 |
| Schmieder; her daughter, Fran (Lee) Fischer; her |
| 15 |
| grandchildren, Rob (Christie) Schmieder, Kathy (Jeff) |
| 16 |
| Hellmann, Dr. Gregory Schmieder, Kristy Schmieder, Derek |
| 17 |
| Schmieder, Laura Schmieder, Jim (Carol), Karen Fischer, Greg |
| 18 |
| (Lynn) Fischer, and Donna (Kelly) Faust; her |
| 19 |
| great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Ben and Christian Fischer, |
| 20 |
| Michael and Laura Fischer, Nickolas, Drew and Danny Faust, |
| 21 |
| Robert (Trey) Schmieder, and Kayden Hellmann; her brother, |
| 22 |
| Frank Durso; her sister, Agnes Jones; and her numerous nieces |
| 23 |
| and nephews; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 26 |
| Frances A. Schmieder, and we extend our sincerest condolences |
| 27 |
| to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be |
| 28 |
