| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Joseph William Legner of |
| 4 |
| Princeton on Wednesday, November 17, 2004; and |
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Legner was born on June 14, 1935, in |
| 6 |
| Blackstone to Justin W. and Mary Elizabeth (Ritchie) Legner; he |
| 7 |
| married JoAnn Rita Yucus on January 28, 1961, at St. Gertrude |
| 8 |
| Catholic Church in Seatonville; and |
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Legner was a member of St. Louis Catholic |
| 10 |
| Church in Princeton, St. Gertrude Church in Seatonville, and |
| 11 |
| the Bureau County Farm Bureau; he was a past St. Louis Church |
| 12 |
| Council member and also was a 10-year leader for the Elm Tree |
| 13 |
| 4-H Club; he was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1956 to |
| 14 |
| 1958; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Joseph William Legner has been |
| 16 |
| deeply felt by many, especially his wife, JoAnn; his sons, Dan |
| 17 |
| (Sue) Legner and Jim Legner; his brothers, Justin (Mary Lou) |
| 18 |
| Legner, Leo (Linda) Legner, and Gerard Legner; his sisters, Ann |
| 19 |
| (Jim) Hunter, Mary (Tom) Osborne, Ida (Jim) Weibel, and Monica |
| 20 |
| (Richard) Lane; and his grandchildren, Brianna Legner, Ian |
| 21 |
| Legner, and Isaac Legner; and |
| 22 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by one daughter in |
| 23 |
| infancy, Denise Marie Legner; his parents; and his brother, |
| 24 |
| Robert Legner; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
| 26 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 27 |
| Joseph Legner, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his |
| 28 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
