| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |

| learned with sadness of the death of Paul E. Meister of Hanna |
4 |
| City on December 11, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born June 6, 1929 in Peoria to David and |
6 |
| Lillian Kaufman Meister; he married Rhoda Zeug on June 10, 1951 |
7 |
| in Union City, New Jersey; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, Paul was a Korean War veteran, and he owned and |
9 |
| operated Meister Electric in Peoria; he also was a chaplain at |
10 |
| Peoria County Jail, and a member of Sheridan Road Apostolic |
11 |
| Christian Church; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by a grandson, two |
13 |
| brothers, and a sister; and
|
14 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Paul E. Meister will be felt by all |
15 |
| who knew and loved him, especially his wife, Rhoda; his sons, |
16 |
| Paul (Rhonda), John (Elizabeth), and Daniel (Susan); his |
17 |
| daughters, Judith (Mark) Sceggel, Elizabeth (Greg) Herman, |
18 |
| Diane (Mike) Honegger, Joan (Tim) Reinhard, Rachel (David) |
19 |
| Sauder, Ruth (Fedi) Davidovics, and Nancy and Karin Meister; |
20 |
| his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brothers, |
21 |
| Edward (Bernetta) and Walter (Jean) Meister; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
23 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
24 |
| Paul E. Meister along with all who knew and loved him and we |
25 |
| extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends during |
26 |
| their time of bereavement; and be it further
|
27 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
28 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
29 |
| sympathy.
