| AN ACT concerning State government.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by |
| 5 |
| adding Section 83 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (5 ILCS 490/83 new)
|
| 7 |
| Sec. 83. Alzheimer's Awareness Month. The month of November |
| 8 |
| of each year is designated as Alzheimer's Awareness Month to be |
| 9 |
| observed throughout the State as a month set apart to promote |
| 10 |
| advocacy activities and the study of Alzheimer's Disease and to |
| 11 |
| honor those whose lives have been impacted by Alzheimer's. The |
| 12 |
| Governor may annually issue a proclamation designating |
| 13 |
| November as Alzheimer's Awareness Month and calling upon the |
| 14 |
| citizens of the State to promote awareness of Alzheimer's |
| 15 |
| Disease.
