| AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 112

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 112 by replacing the |

| title with "AN ACT concerning transportation."; and
|
| 4 |
| by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the |
| 5 |
| following:
|

| "Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding |
| 7 |
| Section 12-705.1 as follows:
|

| (625 ILCS 5/12-705.1 new)
|
| 9 |
| Sec. 12-705.1. Required use of biodiesel by certain |
| 10 |
| vehicles. |
| 11 |
| (a) Beginning January 1, 2006, any diesel powered vehicle |
| 12 |
| owned or operated by this State, any county or unit of local |
| 13 |
| government, or any State College or University, as well as any |
| 14 |
| diesel powered Chicago Transit Authority, Pace, or METRA |
| 15 |
| vehicle, must, when refueling at a bulk central fueling |
| 16 |
| facility, use a biodiesel blend that contains no less than 2% |
| 17 |
| biodiesel, as those terms are defined in the Illinois Renewable |
| 18 |
| Fuels Development Program Act, where available. |
| 19 |
| (b) The Secretary of Transportation shall adopt rules for |
| 20 |
| implementing this Section.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 22 |
| becoming law.".
