    AN ACT concerning education.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The School Construction Law is amended  by adding 
5
Section 5-27 as follows:

    (105 ILCS 230/5-27 new)

    Sec. 5-27. Local building codes. All school construction 
8
projects financed pursuant to this Law are subject to 
9
applicable local building codes.

    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
11
becoming law.
